My passport photo, taken at a CVS near the US Passport Agency. This guy knew what he was doing! My passport is my most valuable possession…or, rather, the freedom that the passport signifies. I can go almost anywhere in the world with it, whenever I want. That said, I’ve decided to seek a second passport.
I’ll be moving to Spain no later than January. I’ll be studying Spanish and teaching English while establishing residency as I pursue Spanish Citizenship through my Sephardic Ancestry. My maternal Great Grandparents, Serafin and Emilia, were from northern Spain, near Santander.
From Spain, I can easily visit 12 new destinations on my list of 330 countries, colonies, territories, exclaves and enclaves during monthly weekend trips. I’ll likely stay longer and focus on travel to Africa and the Middle East, with a visits to the Caribbean when I come back to the states to check in on mom.
I’ll likely end up in Madrid or Valencia. If you know of any great people, apartments or jazz clubs, holler! I look forward to a visit if you find yourself in the area.
